veins.

for diagnosis, are performed by an expert Ultrasound technician.
- All techniques are done as out-patient procedures.
- In most cases treatments are
covered
under most major health insurance plans (see Billing
& Insurance for a list of some of the insurances we accept.)
- There is minimal to no scarring and little
to no pain.
- Chances for complications and post-op infection
are virtually nil.

Why Choose The Circulatory Centers for Vein
Treatment?
For over twenty years the doctors at The Circulatory Centers have cultivated
a reputation as quality providers of the latest effective treatment for
varicose and spider veins. Our network of satellite medical clinics in
western Pennsylvania and northern Ohio enable us to provide many convenient
locations for treatment. All treatments are done on an out-patient ambulatory
basis and are covered under most major health insurance plans.
What is Involved in the Treatment?
The Circulatory Centers have perfected the use of sclerotherapy (small
injections) for small to medium sized varicose veins and couples this
with minor ambulatory outpatient surgery for larger varicose veins.
In order to effectively treat the large varicose veins, a procedure where
the veins are surgically ligated is preformed. This is accomplished with
PIN Stripping, a simple inversion procedure that leaves only 1/8 of an
inch scar on the upper medial calf. The PIN inversion removal technique
is much less traumatic to the skin and subcutaneous structures in the
leg than "cut and tie" stripping. It produces little pain and
will not result in unsightly scars. The risk of delayed healing, post-operative
infection, lymphedema, or nerve injury is virtually nil with this surgical
technique. The surgery itself is a simple procedure taking only 30-45
minutes to complete in most cases. Compression sclerotherapy of distal
varicosities is very effective with the added benefit of a great cosmetic
outcome. Those patients with only minor varicose veins who do not have
junctional incompetence can be successfully treated with compression sclerotherapy
alone achieving the same excellent results.
